No, but if I did I would use the backpack. This would be a replacement for the van mount pump.

Reason why I asked as any new pumps I will be buying in future will be chem spec pumps not just for pure water so I have the best of both so to speak. Cost wise they are about the same.

Same pump as used in Grippa tank system.

Rate it over shurlfo. Much smoother operation.

If it's same pump as grippa,  confirmed as stated above

Then I would agree much better than the sure flow and flow jet, so far

I run it at 35-40 on controller and get same flow of water as when I ran sure flow at
55

Much quieter cannot comment on longevity as there not tear old yet so time  will tell

I carried out some testing with the Aquatec and compared it to other pumps. I found it to be a good pump.  I did find that the pump would produce greater water volume at lower speeds. as such it was more efficient at moving water. Current draw is similar to other makes of pump.
Temperatures were with in the range I would expect. You will note a difference when changing a pump this can be attributed to the newer pump motor being more efficient.  Re calibrating the controller to a new pump will ensure it runs efficiently. I did note the the pump needed a slightly higher cal figure.  That the pump is more efficient and able to deliver the same water flow at lower speeds is good as it reduces pressure in the system, current draw from the battery The Aquatec compares well to the Flojet and Shurflo pumps.

Going by the spec it's a 6 lpm not 5 lpm pump so I assume that's the main reason why the flow seems different.

Same reason I suppose why when I'm using an 8 lpm chem pump. I decided to put a contoller on it as wanted to have full control of the flow as the flow was too high for my needs. That too runs on a lot lower controller settings than a 5lpm pump for the same amount of flow.

Hi Smurf. Yes the open flow rate with no barbs or restrictions is rated to 6LPM , The Flojet I think was 5.4LPM so this would make a small difference.  Out of Interest I also did a direct comparison by getting both to produce the same PSI and current draw and I think the Aqutec just had more omph. It was running about 15% slower to generate the same pressure when compared to the other pumps.

:) It was, I get a bit of fun now and then trying to break this stuff. ;D

same as most electronics ensuring the cables are in good condition, fitting the right fuse and these will give good service.
