100% Polyester Rug
« on: November 21, 2016, 11:45:27 am »
I cleaned a dark grey 100% Polyester rug this morning.Nothing too expensive just the B&Q standard thing that had a sheen to the fibres.

After cleaning HWE it didn't look at all nice when wet.I'm hoping that when it dries it will go back to how it looked before cleaning.

Anyone else had this experience.

I would say it was medium plle.To be honest it was one of them "can you just go over this as well" so no I don't have a photo.

I looked like a dogs wet coat.

I've cleaned other Polyester rugs and they have appeared fine.

I'm presuming it will ok when it dries - just a bit concerning.

Hard to say without seeing it.

Grooming the pile so that it stands will help the appearance and the drying.  After the HWE process I mean.

No definitely said 100% Polyester B&Q Rug.

Not heard anything back so I presume all is OK and I'm worrying too much

Wet dog look.....doesn't sound right for Polyester...a burn test would confirm
