Signed van means your need a commercial permit.

Unsigned van 12 trips a year

So I just use the car

Our council make no differentiation between sign written vans and those not sign written. Its a van and needs a permit - period.

So yes, a couple more trips to the tip in the car. Sometimes I even get a helping hand  :)

I'm renovating some of my bedrooms and got some rubbish to the tip including some carpet and because I also had carpet cleaning on my van I shouldn't be allowed to tip it. Anyway that's from 1st of November in Colchester.
I did ask the guy what carpet cleaning had to to with me dropping the carpet in the tip? The guy was a bit thick and didn't bother to follow further with the conversation and said '' thanks for letting me know '' and I was on my way
