gardiners reinforced pole hose & univalve

not working too well together, hose twists & coils like like a good un when univalve is turned of & hose is left full of water, only answer is to turn flow tap off & univalve on but its a pita,  is this happening to any one else or have i maybe got a bad bit of hose

Been using the pair together since release and no issues at all.

70m microbore and 50meters pole hose.

The only thing i do is twist the pole clockwise a couple of times every now and then through out the day.

Yes I had it at first but I found by turning the calibration down on my variflow it's no where near as bad as it was .

I never have this problem with un-reenforced hose, i.e.: PVC or PU hose only with re-enforced.
I believe it has to do with the weave of the braiding.  The softer the hose and higher the water pressure in the hose the worse it is. I've had this problem with microbore as well. That's probably why when you lower the calibration setting it helps as this reduces the pressure in the hose.

thing is as gardiners have just brought out their own univalve version should they not have sorted this beforehand
 i'll try altering my calibration but that wont help with my backpack though

just spoken to gardiners & they're aware of the problem but apart from what i'm doing theres nothing to be done about it , might try the green stuff
