I think you'll struggle to find anyone who uses a Neon 2 to be honest. Even if you do, there can be no real information on it's longevity as it's a fairly new pole to the market.

The choice is yours- a totally new pole with no reviews or the Third incarnation of what can probably be considered as the worlds lightest WFP that carries any real-world information with it, manufactured and sold by a company widely recognised as world leaders in both their products AND customer service! Myself, I always fail to see the difficulty in a decision like this! ;D

I like the attention they have paid to the photos!

King, pretty sure your old Phoenix was a first run nearly four years ago?? Could be wrong. Think even Gardiners had a lot of issues with SLX for a few years. Things have changed.

Hi Stephen,

My SLX's are 4 and 6 years old respectively and still going strong.

I have had a Pheonix 26 for  3-4 years it is now due for replacement, We also carry CLX27's which are best value for money IMO and reach most residential windows

There were a few teething problems with the Pheonix to begin with but these were quickly resolved by facelift,

The Pheonix was always the first choice due to shortest collapsed length, Lighter weight, More rigid & anti catching / Pinching clamps..The Pheonix 26 very similar in weight and collapsed size to Gardiner SLX / CLX 22 but can reach an extra floor!

I did consider the SLX30, but decided it was to long when collapsed, SLX 22 not long enough,  Now if Gardiners offered carbon version of the CLX27 it would be a tough  choice!!!

@Steve UK

Yes I prefer the shorter collapsed length of the SLX18/22 than the 25 upwards.

I have an old SLX35 which I have reduced to an "SLX20" as for higher lengths I use my extreme 47. I am thinking of putting on the little used next section (the one that would take it to an SLX25) and cutting them all down to  SLX18/22 lengths or even slightly smaller. If I take off 75mm each end of all sections then put new clamps on I will have an SLX21/22 equivalent with the most heavily worn points removed.

A refurbished "every day" pole good for another couple of years. And I can still add sections 30 and 35 on the very rare occasions I need two poles at once above 25ft.

Strokes chin ...

Our old poles are used for internal cleaning

Old Superlite brushes are turned in to broom brushes...Sweeping the floor is now a breeze and saves time  ;D

Sorry King, only just seen this.

Clamps have been modified since you bought one (a few years ago), tooling mod and change of clamp compound and tube material.
We sell thousands of Phoenix pole and get very little issues. Improvement is an on going process.. may well have a new pole range for the end of the year as well ;)
