No Facebook is not enough ( well if you only want scraggy domestic one off's ) Facebook will bring in work and sometimes really nice work but not compared to a website, on that subject, how come people on here are reccomending this and that yet none of them will put a link up to see these wonderful website ? - not much of a reccomendation at all really.

Tso host site builder package or something.
It's not brilliant but I can update and improve the site and in time I'll eventually get better rankings. Don't know how much it would cost for someone to build the same amount of pages?
I'll be updating my site soon so any sensible pointers are welcome.

I have been considering a website for about 18 months. Had prices ranging from £250 to £900.

Did some stone flag and decking cleaning for a chap and during conversation he told me he built websites.

Asked him much for a  quote and he says "we start at £3000, would you like me to do one for you"  :o :o  I'll have a think says I.

The guy that's building mine builds websites for education departments etc. They start from £3,000 but he's doing one for me for £500 which is the most that I would have paid to be honest!

:) I've just had one done by avondhu internet services. Highly recommended by me. Extremely efficient and communicative to the project is completed. Very affordable and I have to say I think my site is definitely going to bring in work. It's only been up today and already picked up a job from it.
Thankyou Nat J.

I think you get what you pay for.

I don't think you can get a top notch website for under £3,000.

The question is, what do you want?  Do you care enough about it to spend big?  Or are other things, like a top-of-the-range van more important?

Lots of folk go on about Nat Jones, I've seen his websites and I consider them to be mediocre at best.

Door Knocking will always be your best investment not a website

I've only seen a couple of his sites which I thought looked good but at the end of the day the important thing is his customers are very happy with their investment.

i used tso host sitebuilder to do my carpet site its pretty good for £11.99pm

www.carpetcleaningwakefield.co.uk

if i could afford it i would pay someone to build one and run the blogging and social media side along with any updates as it does take a lot of admin to build and seo your site

Have a look at this, I got it done recently

I gave him minimal information just to get it up and running

Colin at extensive web design is a great guy and his prices are fantastic
