I wouldn't even spend a quid on them.

In a few weeks time they are all going to be irrelevant. (As long as the new uni-valve is as good as it looks)

I think if the univalve is as good as it looks for reliability & use then there will be loads of aquataps & aquadapters for sale on  the likes of fleebay so best get in quick on get yours listed on there.

Old aqua adaptor yes but cant see it making a difference to the aqua tap as people use it because they don't like having to pull
the hose to stop the water.
When using the aqua adaptor how do you hold the brush off the glass when the pole is extended using one hand while pulling the hose with the other ?
I use a tap on a belt/holster and support the end of the pole on top of my leg or lower body to turn it the water off.

There's a few ways:

1) When you rest your brush on window sill (If available) its easy to turn off.
2) If no sill then rest edge of brush next to window, and turn it off.
3) Has you remove the brush from the window,  (pole more balanced) Vertical, then switch water off.

To be honest I don't think you can't beat the simple pinch/kink method if you run the pole hose on the outside of the poles especially for taller and/or acute angle work. I’ve found you have greater control of the water flow keeping both hands on the pole and don’t add weight to the pole whatsoever.

If you use a swivel and mono filament brushes using the pinch/kink method you can scrub & rinse on the glass etc no probs as makes awkward stuff a lot easier to clean and can turn the water on/off with ease whenever you want unlike using an aquatap as they don’t work with swivels.

As we all know aqudaptors are not ideal either as can fail and adds weight to the end of the pole too so that is probably why Steve has developed a lighter univalve gizmo instead now which would be ideal for all those hose tuggers out there.

As they say each to their own as how you want to work is a personal choice but I still see that univalve becoming a very popular option if it’s fit for purpose and don’t need replacing every so often.

It's easy with an extreme pole. I can hold a pole away from the window with one hand and tug away to my hearts content with the other. 😀

It takes less than a second to pull the hose

So your holding a 22 to 25ft pole extended with the full weight of the brush and water at lets say a 45 degree angle with one hand, fair play but that has to be hard on the wrists xtreme pole or not.

No, it's real easy, because you use  momentum when lifting away to operate the Ad - it's that quick,  you don't need to balance the pole on your knee, leg, groin to operate it, the problem comes when it misfires or jams, unfortunately this happens more often the higher your brush..
