I stopped using these a few years ago as I thought they were too heavy ... Ordered one about a week ago and now they are much lighter .... I prob would say it's my current favourite... The Ariel hybrid ... Much better now it's lighter and the bristles seem better quality than gardener ...... The xline brush is also a good brush though and gardener brushes are still nice and light too use ....

How have they lightened them, still look exactly the same as the ones I used a while back.

They are great brushes, but suffer the same problem as aquadaptor - poor service and supply

Don't they go banana shaped too? Never used one myself.

No that's the old gardeners brush that did that.

The red Tecbuk bristles if treated roughly can curl over in a very quick time

Tecbuk comes in at (225g to 250g) bare weight ( the socket system used is also heavier than gardiners )

Gardiner supreme is 200g and the extreme 140g

Surprisingly the sl brush is 250g ( but if I remember that was a complete head with socket and pipe work )

The stock on the brush has been reduced so it's not as bulky as the old one , plus I drill a hole in the gardiner quick loq socket and that's lighter than the socket tecbuck use ....

There were numerous reports of the new design stock going banana shaped after a couple of weeks!!

i had a hobrid tecbuk it bent realy badly  some of u may have sin it on fb i plastered pix every were lol i got a replacment from richard at a cost of having to send my bent brush back to him then the replacment did the same!! a;lso wonky jets on boath i then e.mailed richard and pm'd him on the forum with no reply  i have now stratined the stock with a bit of metel , there grate brushes apart from the dung bendy stock  , also i have a black tecbuk and thats bine fine had it 2 years and its not bent yet

The older heavier stock of theTecBuk brushes were great......
The later brush, which is lighter....the stock has been said to bend like a banana.

I've got 2 hybrid brushes which are combing up to a year old and have now been retired, but neither of them bent both perfectly straight, maybe other apply more pressure on the glass, not that it should bend...
