kinking hose
« on: September 17, 2015, 08:32:00 pm »
Just got a new powerup hd reel :) it only takes 6mm hose.
I was reeling the hose on the reel and it must have kinked a dozen times. Does 6mm kink more or is it a bad hose.
I warmed end up in a cup of water and it went a lot softer than my 8mm hose. Is this because its thinner or crap hose

Depends where you brought it from,

New hose does tend to kink for the first couple of days then settles down, our 6mm hose is great

Again mate it depends on the place it's bought, I use the 8mm red hose from circuit hydralics, very really kinks and good quality hose

I got it from Circuit Hydraulics, but its 6mm not 8mm. My 8mm never kinks. Same stuff/Hi Viz. Only unrapped it and would it onto new reel, but it kinked loads of times

Waiting for parts to connect to water, but should save my arms.
LUXURY! a must. Cant see the point in making work harder than it is for the few hundred pound between windy reel and power reel

i've never had any of my minibore hose kink even using hot water running through it.
Sounds like microbore hose is a pile of poop if it does.

It should firm up with winter water in it. I was shocked how soft it went after dipping it in boiled water. *mm goes a little softer. 6mm goes limp. It does way a lot less though

The wall thickness of the microbore hose is obviously a lot thinner then compared to minibore hose?

Circuit hydraulics is the same wall thickness 6mm i/d 11mm o/d    8mm i/d 13mm o/d

As said ours doesn't kink ( and I've got 8 reels of the stuff on the go )
