No I have not used one of those but looks a reasonable price package to me to get started if you did not want to go down the diy route and knock one up yourself.

If you’re going to get a camera though I would recommend a gopro not a wifi baby monitor that they and others sell for silly money.

I have the water genie one from the cleaning warehouse
Its basically the same as that same vac and everything

Mine made its money back within the first 4 weeks good suction and easy to use .

Cant understand why a gopro would be of benefit to be honest as you haven't got a screen to view the job as you are doing it .
I have a wireless bullet camera  you can get them pretty cheap from 3gmobilecctv.com around £130
The battery on the camera itself is the let down part though at 1.5 hrs use with the leds on but i switch my leds off when using it .
Its only ran out on me once .

Oh and watch the front wheels on that one they break off really easily going down gutters etc
The 1st one broke off within the 1st week and the other broke off on me last week .
So its being carted around on its back wheels lol .

If you don't mind me asking....how much are you charging per hour to make your money back in 4 weeks?

I don't charge per hour on gutters
I charge per length on an average of £30 per side for a normal 3 bed semi .

some jobs I've charged £100 and been done in 1.5 hrs

some jobs I've charged £300 and taken all day .

There is good money to be made clearing guttering & downspouts but some can be real pigs to do so best charge accordingly. It looks very easy but can be hard work especially if you need to get the ladders out too.

£30 per side sounds nice. Is that to clear only or to clean/wipe the gutter and drain pipe too?

Cleaning the outsides takes longer than the insides  :o

Make it clear to the customer the difference and confirm what they want doing before giving a price as “Gutter Clearing" is not the same thing as "Gutter Cleaning" as should be priced up separately.

You should split the price down and charge at least the same if not more to clean the fascias, guttering, soffits etc than checking & clearing guttering & any downspouts.

Say for instance you charge 85 to check & clear the guttering & downspouts on a property. Then you should charge at least 85 to clean all the plastics as it can take a lot longer to do properly.

The price you charge is down to you but I've found people will pay good money to get the job done properly and more importantly safely so don't undersell your services.

Hi Smurf, i totally agree with you about pricing gutter clearing, from the start i make it perfectly clear to the customer that
the price i quote is for gutter clearing only, if they ask about cleaning GFS, i tell them that is another service and is priced accordingly,   In the past I've had the odd customer getting uptight because they think the GFS should be washed for no extra
charge because they are getting their gutters cleared.  :o

Lal

The £30 is a minimum charge so if they have it emptied only its £30 minimum
But i try and make it so its a £40 minimum charge  just to pull up and do 1 length  of emptying
Or say £60 for 2 lengths .
3 bed semi i can get around the £120 mark for emptying and washing down

I've not had any issues explaining the difference myself as most understand it can be dangerous and time consuming work. That is why they wanted a quote in the first place. Some will just want the guttering & downspouts checked and cleared and others may just want the plastics cleaned.

Regarding pricing both services together if that is what they want doing they either want the job done properly or they don't which is a simple as that really. It also works both ways too as if I did not like a person’s attitude they can simply find someone else.

Anyone can clean a window but not many including cleaners (myself included) like roofline work especially the awkward jobs so should be charge accordingly no matter what methods used.
