Grippa vac
« on: July 23, 2015, 08:03:30 am »
Received vacs and poles yesterday and tried to call, want to use it today so hoping for a reply from someone who's got one.

A little confused as to the 2x inlet holes. Which should I use for different types of work? If this is what they're for.

Also what's the little hose at the back of the machine for please?

The extension hose fits very loosely into the main hose, how do I secure these together?

Thanks
Lance

Good Morning,

Could you please call our office on 01223 790049 or 0800 098 8407 and we can certainly help you. Should all 5 of our lines be busy (which is possible yesterday afternoon), please leave a voicemail and our engineers will call you back.

In the meantime, answers to your questions:

The vacuums come as standard with the central inlet for normal wet and dry use. However for gutter and debris removal you should use the side entry (as photographed here: https://www.grippatank.co.uk/51mm-numatic-cyclonic-side-entry)

The little hose at the back of the machine is for when you come to empty the machine and its full of water, you can use this to empty into a drain to save you tipping the vac upside down to empty. When in use, this hose should always have the ball over the end.

Could you also email us: support@grippatank.co.uk with regard to your last question as we do not understand:

Regarding the end of the hose it should come with a rubber cuff to attach to the bottom pole section snugly. All reducer type cuffs screw onto a hose anticlockwise then just push fit onto in your case the bottom pole section.

When I brought my first omni guttervac I also ordered a smaller reducer cuff and floor/hand tools so could use it as a normal wet vac and hover aswell that comes in handy.

We've got this vac, be sure to wash the debris from the inlet after each use and from the hose end as the dirt will grind down the thread on the inlet. We've changed this to a push on fitting, i'll post it up to show you incase you need it. Great vac btw.

Yep tile grit acts like a sandblasting media for sure.

The push fit connections were missing from the packages, hence my concerns about the loose fit of the extension hose to the main hose which screws on to the inlets. All sorted now though, as Grippa have sent them out to me.

It seems I don't even need the short, screw on length of hose, but just need to use the push fit and longer extension hose.

I wasn't going crazy after all  ;D

Good Morning,

All of our vacs are push fit for better longevity on the fittings.

Missing parts were dispatched yesterday so all being well will be with you today.

Mr Grippatank, do you split your products? For example is it possible to buy the minivac (with side entry) but without the poles?
