right now I'm doing it traditional and I find PVC frames are not easy to clean. I been using CIF cream cleaner to get rid of tough stains and buildups, works pretty well actually. I'm charging £12 just for the front (3 bedroom terraced house) in East London but I'm starting to thinking I'm under charging.

I think you must be talking about restoring the frames as it only take a few minutes to clean a frame after the first clean.
A quick rub with a damp microfiber.
I clean the frames every time but removing black marks or stains is an extra that I will offer at an extra price and only if
asked for.

Good price for a maintenance clean but you should charge double for the first cleans, maybe even triple if you are cif cream cleaning all the frames.

Plastics restoration is completely different to giving them a quick wipe over to remove surface dirt so should be charged accordingly. How much you charge is up to the individual.

Just remember that if you spend time bringing frames, sills, doors etc back to good condition on a first clean and you don't charge extra you could end up being out of pocket bigtime. Especially when you get some that change their mind (lie) and don't want a regular clean after all which can happen 

It's all about meeting customers expectations and some are very high indeed so you need to tell them strate what service level the price includes and what it don't.

The best ones you find out they have moved shortly afterwards without telling you after spending ages bring the plasctics all back to white 

That why now I charge alot and take every first clean as a one-off clean so then I don't get stiched up .  That way it also weeds out the messers too.

frames,sills.doors as well as glass every time.once the first clean is out of the way its easy to maintain them on subsequent cleans with WFP.

sometimes i charge more for a first clean/sometimes not.depends how dirty they are.

i very rarely get a customer binning me off after a first clean.it has happened but only a few times in 22 years.

as for cif cream cleaner.i tend to only use it on add on jobs(conny cleans/f/s/g cleans if some of the ground floor UPVC are badly stained)

£12 for restoration - can you add mine to your list when your next round

always give frames a wipe . If you start doing a deep clean customers will expect it every time when you get busy you wont have time to do that then complaints will start

On a first clean i find a touch of ubik on brush or in bucket if tradding brings most frames up well without any extra effort and does get noticed by the customer
Especially grey sills
I  have also been known to give a sill a quick scrub with a magic sponge but won't do anything to make the clean take any longer without extra dosh

I find that on a first clean a damp microfiber gets the frames clean enough unless they are badly stained. If they are stained, I am usually more unhappy about it than the customer, but tell them that as I wipe the frames every time, the staining may fade in time. No one ever complains to me about this.

oh I see, that make sense now. I'm still learning about this business. I always thought as a window cleaner it is my duty to clean everything but I guess using cream cleaner for the frames and sills is lot of work and it deserve extra money.

I hope I'm charging the right price (£12 for the front)
