Hello mate, r u familiar with the small metal scrapers with blades similar to the old wilkinson sword razor blades, these will remove it, you will have to keep wetting up and going over with the blade, can work a full window down in no time, these are not the unger types I don't recommend them at all
I would be careful using a scourer or abrasive materials, when you look out the window on an angle you will be able to see all the scratches left behind, and the same with brick acid, if your going to use it on the frames be careful not to get it on the glass, if you don't remove it, it will leave a stain behind
