Me carbon gutter tubes are stuck together, and I do not have the strength to separate them, any idea of how to do it please ?
I have been throwing them on the roof rack, but it is getting a pain now  ::)roll

Get two of you (or four) and put on some grippy rubber gloves and two on each section - twist and pull. Might be worth spraying some wd40  around the seize point.

It's a game of three halves!

Do not use wd40 on carbon.  Carbon expands and contracts with temperature. you can try warm/hotish water on outer pole  and then pull and twist them apart.

Get a long piece of wood or metal, lay the poles on the floor, slide the metal or wood pole into the bottom pole until you feel the ridge of the join, a simple tap with a mallet and they normally spring apart. The tap releases the tapered joint quite easily.

You are thinking of polycarbonate not carbon fibre.

I've used WD40 to clean my SLX's for over 5 years with no problem whatsover. And to separate carbon fibre modular poles before that.

On some carbon there is a chance of swelling of outer layer and delamination. I have managed to do it myself long time ago.
Think Alex mentioned that this is rare but it happens.

you can get dry ptfe spray of ebay £3 a bottle.
