Yup. I think you'll find that ordinary tap water does the same as well.

Windscreen wipers don't make good wfp brushes either.

I add GG4 and a squirt of Tadgh O'Shea's Bio Degreaser. Works brilliantly.

i use gg3 and pure in mine.great results dave!try replacing the wipers as well.makes a big difference.

Hi Dave, you should get some little waffle wiper blades this will sort it for you.

Going to get expensive buying new blades every time I wash the car Dazmond!
I use GG4 in the water too - doesn't seem to affect my van screen much just her sports car. It has those floppy modern blades - bit like those crappy Moerman Liquidators

My ford transit custom has self parking wipers at the bottom.

When using screen wash and tap water they can take anything up to 30 seconds to park at the bottom of the screen.

Since using just pure water it takes a few seconds. Massive reduction in time......................................................Remember i use Vision as well

   All Jokes aside Dave, windscreens over time can build up with all types of ingrained soils which can lead to wiper blades not working properly, if you take a bucket of warm water dip in and dampen a magic eraser pad,  give the screen a good scrub drivers side first then turn the pad over to do the passenger side, its amazing what these pads can remove from glass.

All I can think is pure water makes it literally squeaky clean and drags a film off the wipers on first use. It's happened a couple of times now - I had to use Unger Rub Out last time (after all it's useless for anything else), to try and remove it.

think of alk that soap on the windscreen from the washers, to get it clean spot on need to rinse all that soap off!

Like cleaning a house that's been trad years, if not rinsed looks like smear splogged all over!
