The only downside is trying to find one with a decent range and with any kind of build quality. Anything that says "100m range" in my experience has a reliable working range of 1/4 that at best (Even with an antennae) - And the ones with longer ranges tend to be bulky.

I have one on a trolley which works well as the range is not affected. Saves water and i can do a large house off 25 litre barrel.

When it was on my van mount when round the back of properties it was obviously not going to work.

I'm looking into these units at the moment - they're costly enough, but I reckon would be much more reliable: https://www.linxtechnologies.com/en/products/remotes/holtek/long-range-handheld-transmitter

I have connected my controller to a leasure battery and  a van antenna. As long as the battery in a remote is good I can turn water off even when doing  back of the house.  You save water and time disconnecting hoses, less strain on the pump, no need to turn flow controller off between jobs, looks cool.
I use this inexpensive one:

For me remotes are too unreliable and don't save you enough water compared to the aquatap or aquadaptor basically time you have found your remote pressed the button and then allowed the pump to stop you could have cleaned another complete window. You also get lag with starting up because there is no physical stop like a tap so the pressure drops in the hose line, this takes several sections to build back up, this may not sound long but when the alternative is instant you difference could be an extra house clean per day

I've tried a few of that type of remote and have never been impressed  - they're just not reliable.
I'm looking at a remote for operating a motorised reel - for starting & stopping water where you need instant & reliable results I'd have to agree with Oddbod.

I think a remote with an electric reel would be really useful.
