GARDINERS BACKPACK CHARGING PROB.
« on: January 27, 2015, 07:51:00 pm »
hi all,      charged backpack up last night as normal    untill green light come on charger.

all going well today , used backpack a few times then it went dead.

got home put charger into backpack,     showing green light on,     charger left in for an hour.   thought it would go warm through the  charging process as normal  but was cold.

i then left charger plugged in and connected up into backpack and everything was great,  full power,  on / off.  on / off.  showing green light on backpack ,
turned plug power off and backpack dead again,  nothing at all.

so its the charger or Battery,    always charged up fully every week.

Any ideas as to what i will need,  Charger Or Battery.    Do these little charges burn them selves out after time,  just over 1 year old.

looked around house for a similar charger , kettle type connection,    all my rest are pin type.

Can you cut of the kettle type end and connect it to one of your other chargers (eg join the wires)

If the charger is not going red, then maybe you have a bad connection or blown fuse?

Can you charge the battery with a car charger, this will prove is your battery is good or not

If you can, wire charger directly to the battery, if it goes red, then there is a fault in the internal wiring somewhere.

It is also possible that a wire has come off the battery
