Help with R/O would be appreciated
« on: October 21, 2014, 03:44:02 pm »
Basically went to turn my booster pump on today and nothing happened, changed fuse etc still nothing... So i turned water off and tried it and it worked ???
So turned water back on and started struggling then cut out again.

So took apart my housings etc flushed system etc then tried again and still
It sounds like the pump is struggling to push the water through the R/O, but when ran dry the pump runs perfect(i only run dry for a second to check its ok)

Which leads me to think there must be some blockage in my R/O... I have a feeling is the filters before resin? Any ideas???

I bought it from Colin's water products about a year ago and changed the filters 2 months ago (i only make 2000L a week so wont be due again)

I cant see it being the R.O. but disconnect the hose from the R.O. and then run the pump that should tell
you if its the R.O. or not.

Well i disconnected the water after the 3 r/o filters and it was spraying all over there was that much pressure, so theres a problem from the top 2 filters im guessing! But they were changed not long ago at all

Adam mine was similar my water was coming out slow with my booster pump and there was a problem with one if the pre filters
One of the predict era might not be fitting in the hole properly, you know when you screw the canister into the lid.

Apparently i have the wrong membranes these are 50gpd not 150gpd each! But i paid for 150gpd!!!!!!
Just to double check thats the problem... Would that stop my water production if this was the case
