Impersonating me - scam
« on: September 25, 2014, 10:16:33 pm »
I've had two customers call me saying they've had someone come round saying their doing the windows from now on. One said he cleaned the windows here every few weeks. The customer didn't buy it as he was trad and I'm WFP. The second customer said the bloke said he had taken over from me as I'd broken my leg. He cleaned the house WFP and gave her a new phone number to call. Unfortunately she couldn't find the number today as I was looking forward to asking for a mystery quote and smash his face in.

I reckon it's two separate scammers.

Anyone had anything similar to this?

nothing more than a minor irritation!

It's a very good point Dazmoondo. I've had the scally brigade try that on, highly annoying at the time, but they never succeed.

i hada joker come round last year "any house £7"
Im doing these houses cheap at 10 -12
lost about 3

Last time i did the street one next door to one i do which had jumped ship to mr cheap-  was in the window trying to work out if i was the one he dumped - i presume, he looked desperate to come out and ask me  , i shouted over to the missus to look at his windows to see if they were clean and she said they were minging , i laughed my head off , mr  cheap mustve gone out of business

Also lost one a few months ago with no excuse ,but she came out all shy on wednesday while i cleaned next door asking if id go back as the other guy was "well dodgy " so i dont know why they swapped but they all come back :)

Dont take it personally or get upset , just keep doing a job and looking for more work and you will be fine :)
