Extending an slx 25
« on: September 18, 2014, 02:17:56 pm »
Can you buy an extension or 2 for the slx 25 . What's the best way to sort the pole hose out as well . The extra height is only needed once a month for an hour . But don't want to be prattling about with extra hose on the pole the rest of time .cheers barry

every time???? you said you only needed it for 1 hour every month...better than having surplus hose all the time surely?

Very simple.
With the added sections on the pole and collapsed, cut the pole hose a couple of inches from the end cap base and use an appropriate sized barbed hose joiner to add or remove extra hose length.

You can buy extensions - http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/The-New-SLX---Extension-Sections-SLX_EXT.html you would need to start with Extension #6.

It is easiest to buy a separate longer hose-pack for when using at greater heights, although if using with just one extension the standard hose pack will be long enough - http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/Telescopic-Pole-Hose-Packs-Hose_Packs.html

This video shows how easy it is to add extensions and at the same time change the hose pack, takes about 60 seconds - http://youtu.be/wvkPMdr1z6g

I am  going to get a couple of extension next month for my SLX 25.  I already have extra hose so just need to buy the next pole up and perhaps the next pole after that.

cant do it this month... just spent it on a extra Gardener metal reel and a couple of sill brushes, and the UL section for my 22 phoenix carbon pole.

i really couldnt be bothered with adding sections etc.

my main pole is an extreme 25 which reaches a lot of my work including lots of 3 storey(2nd floor windows).

anything higher then my extreme 47 comes out of the van.

these 2 poles are all i need for my work.saves faffing about with extra hose and adding sections to my main pole.
price higher/work harder!

Just buy an "extension hose" only connect when you need it
