Removing a membrane

Any tips or tricks on how to remove a 4040 membrane. Replacing mine but the end cap is stuck solid, I have removed the white outer ring but cant shift anything else.

Pair of pliers on one of the end vanes usually works for me if it is a champ housing.

Pair of pliers on one of the end vanes usually works for me if it is a champ housing.

Same here, I used a big pair of mole grips. Mark Munro did a video using some sort of plumbing T piece that worked well, but always just use grips.
