I have recently purchased a corwoods heater which seems a really good bit of kit .... However the problem I am having is that when I start on a house , the water comes out really nice and hot and then begins to cool , goes cold and then in a bit goes hot again .... It's so annoying when I want hot water  all day !!! Not just in fits and starts .... Some guys are saying that it's the heater settings being not set quite right with the cold flow and the gas not being finely tweaked correctly .... Spent ages messing with settings but to no avail .... Others are saying that the heater flame might be blowing out with the wind hence why the water is cooling !! So not sure  what the problem is !!!

Pretty much answered you own question there. They are very sensitive to flow rate so when you get it right put a mark on the casing and check the flow number on your controller for future reference. Open the flow valve until it cuts out then back it off a bit and mark the position then turn it down 'till it cuts out again and mark that. Somewhere between the two should be ideal.

Any idea what the flow rate usually is on the controller ? Currently on 40

james where have you mounted the heater?if you ve got in on the back van door the flame will keep going out in the slightest bit of wind hence cooling water.

you need to fit it inside the van near the back door if so.

also my flow controller is set at 60,calibration 17 BUT this will vary depending on hoses,systems etc.

water flow setting on l5 is on minimum,flame setting just above minimum

Thanks dazmond..... It's not on back door but near back door . Think it might be better moved further away from the back of the van though as it seems to make sense that the wind could be catching the heater ?? 😊

It needs to be near the back door to let fumes escape unless you fit a flue.I leave door open then when reeling in for my next job,open side door to let more fumes escape before getting in the van.
