If I were to start selling pure water
« on: August 28, 2014, 09:08:47 am »
Basically I'm buying mine at the moment (before i sold up 2 years ago was always running a 40/40) and see that it can be quite restrictive if you don't match their opening hours locally, late days early starts etc etc...

So I'm thinking about renting a unit and start selling it myself but offering a far more flexible approach...

My thoughts were to have local guys who want a regular account come onto the GoCardless scheme ;-) pay monthly, fortnightly, weekly etc for agreed amounts. Say 500 litres a day for four or five days a week? Let them have a key/code to the yard and have their IBC sitting outside in the secure yard with their amount in it...

Im based in Dartford Kent and the yard would be somewhere in that vicinity I'm just wondering if there would be any of you guys interested in coming over to me to buy yours? I would also sell to individuals on just a roll up amount that was needed but would need to be arranged as i wouldn't always be there.

Any thoughts and maybe how much you'd be prepared to pay for
25ltrs
100ltrs
250ltrs
500ltrs
650ltrs
1000ltrs

Ive a rough idea what id be happy to pay myself but it would be great to hear from others too.

You're buying water now, so you know how much it costs to buy.

You've listed the amounts....so list the prices you intend to sell at.

If you are going to rent a unit just to sell water, I think you will lose money, also the time spent running it, is time taken away from  your window cleaning business

Agreed but my initial plan is to produce water for myself as well as the local guys in the area, then I'm slowly looking into opening a small cleaning supplies company and use the space for that too...
