Gardiner Brush - New Ones??
« on: August 27, 2014, 09:09:38 pm »
Need a new brush soon. Really like the black/blue Xtreme as the nylon bristles are great for getting rid of the snail trails quite quickly. Just a shame it's not got a few more bristles to bulk it out.
Seems as your online Alex, any news you could give us on new brush releases?
     Thanks, Nic.

Hi Nic

We do have a completely new range of brushes coming soon, but cannot say anymore at the moment as we are right in the middle of development. Probably about 3 months away.

Ok Alex, thanks for the reply. From posts a few months back, I got the idea you were on a brush development phase.
I'll try and hang on  ;D

I think that would be the best brush ever!
We look at them, they look through them.

What's the most effective brush for lifting the grey out of window ledges, or is this not possible with brushes?
To climb mount fuji you must first find a path

Yeah, I think so too. I'm quite careful with the brushes on the doors and frames, but you've got to be really gentle with this one otherwise it sounds like your hammering on the frames!

I've never been able to completely eradicate grey from white UPVC using only a brush. Tried loads of brushes but only chemical will shirt it right out of the corners IME

That's what I thought poleking. No harm in asking though.

I tend to use wet and dry 2500 grade sandpaper. Shifts it in seconds.

 :o

Try a bit of Cif and a sponge before the sandpaper bud.
It's much less abrasive.
The sandpaper is fine-if you're gonna seal it after (not that you don't...)
But a quid for some Cif and a sponge is much easier IMO.
And the customer won't (possibly?) be as shocked.
And...decant the cif into your own container and do the job. Customer (probably ;D) not ask you what the cream is so you'll get the job year after year but if you look like you just sand it off-they may be inclined to try that themselves & scratch the life out of them.
Unlikely? Perhaps. But I wouldn't risk it.
Each to their own though bud.
