prices for window cleaning rounds
« on: July 30, 2014, 04:22:40 pm »
as we all know when selling or buying a w/c round prices vary massively, I was chatting to a mate from wigan the other day who said it seems the standard price for a round locally is 9 times the clean regardless of the type of work.
what is it in your area ??

There are a lot of window cleaners who seem to undervalue thier business vastly.

I have always gone on the following formula

year turnover /12 * 7.5 or even 8 or 9 so id say he is correct.

iv`e never paid more than TWO AND A HALF TIMES, even for established work, never would. Can`t see why someone would want to work 9 months before earning anything. each to there own i guess

In birmingham I think you would generally have to pay at least 3.5 times the value of the round, although some windies want times 5.  I think it all comes down to how much you need the work in relation to what you would pay for it.

When you take in expenses it would more than likely be a year before you would earn anything from it.
Madness.

Well I have successfully sold work at 7 times the value, and bought work at that price too with no problems.

i guess for those that employ guys to work or sell franchise`s it can be seen as a long term investement. but for the the family guy who works for himself, paying 7-9 times would just take to long to recoup. each to there own and good on ya if you can sell for that though  ;)

In my local town their is a shop that supplies ladders, window cleaning gear etc.

They have a board where you can advertise your round for free, work for sale is regularly on at 10x monthly clean and selling.
