battery charger
« on: August 06, 2014, 01:15:29 pm »
Hi guys
Just on the off chance that someone might have one of these, does any one know what the fuse size should be in the charger (not the plug) mine came out while it was in the van and I cant find it, so no idea of the size of the fuse that was in there.
Its a Selmar Guardian Professional Battery Charger, which I bought from pure freedom (sponsors of this site!) however, they don't sell them anymore and didn't really know the answer when I spoke to them.

If anyone has one, can you let me know or where I might find the answer... the fuse is the same type of fuse that goes in the fuse box your car to run everything.
Many thanks
Steve

Depends on charger . Try small amp one first if it keeps blowing try bigger amp one .
I'd have thought it was a 10 amp red one ..
Only try this system if the fuse has fallen out if it's blown then that's a different ball game.

Get an old fuse and wrap some tinfoil around it then poke it in the holes.
Be reet.

I think that charger has a 7amp output so a 7.5amp brown fuse should do the job.
It should tell you the output on the charger.
