Going to make some changes to website and leaflets, this has been prompted by two events this last week
1) leaflet designer:..
.(me) i want to put we clean Monthly and Bi- Monthly
(her) Oh so you clean twice in a month?
(me) why do think that?
(her) Because you clean Bi Monthly
(me) No that means every Two months

2) New Customer
    (me)..we clean Monthly and Bi monthly
    (her)..Oh you clean every two weeks
    (me)..Why do you think that?
    (her)..Well Bi monthly, doesnt that mean twice in a month
    (me)...Are you related to ********** a graphic designer?

so its got me thinking about the words we use, so can i have all peoples views on some of the below before i change things

Monthly / Bi monthly..or 4 Weekly or 8 Weekly
Residential or domestic
Commercial or Industrial
BACS Payment or Internet payment.

Thats just a few if you want to add please do

Bi monthly can actually mean both so I would use 4 weekly, 8 weekly.

I believe John Travolta is a follower of terminology as well as other Hollywood folk ... not sure it has its place on this forum though

I would use

4 / 8 Weekly
Domestic / Commercial
Personally I put Online Payments but out of the two Internet Payment.

These I find are much easier and clearer to people of all generations.

What about 'alternate months'?
It gives you a bit of flexibility.
To Those that want you on the same day exactly 8 weeks later you can have 7-9 weeks...
