Tell the customer you don't do conservatory roof insides. That's what I do.

I use ladder steps got multi function one.

Clean white struts with no-nonsense trigger spray then use scrim or cheap micro fibre to clean, warn custie may not look as new but not far off.

Then obviously use window vac for glass.
I know your on ladder anyway doing white struts but think this would make glass quicker!

I must add the 2 inside connies i have done so far were medium size and slope of roof wasn't high 9 feet suppose.

Done inside roof £60 2.5hrs
other connie was all inside roof windows all frames £150 10pm til 4pm did on a saturday missed grand national

But custie kept on so felt like had to do didn't fancy the all inside one but learnt a few things

Nice lady but p'd me off left most of furniture in connie (step machine-keep fit thing, table, 3 seater wicker seatee, small piano that didn't make any quicker)

but for one of these type jobs i felt like i come out ok,
as i usually burn my fingers

I rarely run on time which i am doing my best to improve so I push for extra's to be done on saturday now or can't do.

To me it's extra dosh if saturday as work the odd one.

In the week i'd rather do windows if add on's take longer on week days it gives me the ump

Why not just price them at a higher rate? I don't know how big the inside of the conservatory was that you cleaned, nor what you aim for per hour on a job,  but at 2.5 hours and £60 I would be pulling my hair out (what's left). I get pricing wrong at times - in fact I got one wrong on Friday, but at that hourly rate AND on a Saturday.....

For the struts use a damp sponge on a fixi clamp with pole.
Slightly wet with sponge with a mild detergent and wipe the struts.
Then wrap a micro fibre over a dry sponge and polish dry.
A cobweb brush is always handy to have as well.

It seems the latest fad is to try to the least amount necessary, in the least time with the least effort.

I did an inside conservatory roof last week off a set of steps with a squeegee and blade.  I'm beginning to think I did something wrong now. The bars were cleaned off  with a damp cloth whilst I was up there. Perhaps this is where WFP Has got us, 'professional' cleaners no longer have the full range of tools in their kit-bag.

'We don't do inside conservatory roofs' I've heard it all now.

Normally I would do the same, but I have a few important customers that put a lot of work my way
so its nice to be able to keep them sweet.
Never say never in this game.

Doesn't matter what profession your in, its about making your daily grind as easy as possible.
Would you think any less of a joiner for using an electric saw.

for me i just cant be bothered with inside conny roofs.in fact i hardly clean any inside windows at all!again cos i cant be bothered!

i hate doing em.much prefer outside work any day!

i cant remember the last time a customer asked me to clean insides apart from the ones that are on an agreed frequency.must be at least 2 or 3 years ago.suits me!

You do make a very good point!
I find on the roof bearers the best thing has been Cif bathroom.
Did my own, not been cleaned in 5 years (when I moved in) came up absolutely lovely!
Only a quid. My roof is polycarbonate rather than glass and that came up well too.
1 bottle did the whole roof.

Similarly it would be strange for a window cleaner to say "Sorry, I don't clean windows". I just don't fancy cleaning inside conservatories. If I employed I might well get an employee to do it if asked. I have actually only been asked twice in 4 years. Never once by an existing customer. If I am honest, I don't like doing insides at all. I don't like going into customers' houses. It's just the way I am.
