Holiday RO advice
« on: April 28, 2014, 10:29:52 pm »
Hi, im going on holiday soon for 10 nights and wondered if anyone has any advice regarding leaving the ro (membranes) unused or un-flushed for this period of time. is it likely to ruin the membranes? if so is there anything you can do to protect them?
i think my membranes are the ones from vyair 100gpd ones
any advice welcome
thanks

They'll be fine.
Leave them pressurised and submerged.

I offer an RO Baby sitting service.

For only £6 a day I will flush them morning and evening.

yeah you wanna keep your membrane wet at all times do not let it dry out.

If you are really worried you could buy one of those watering things you connect to your tap for gardens really but you could set it t come on for a few mins each day or every couple days.

But it will probably be ok anyway

I have a 4040 RO and have left it for weeks without a problem.
Flush it for half an hour when you get back and you shouldn't have any bother.

I take my RO's on holiday with me, they work so hard all year they deserve a bit of sun too!
