The weather at the min...

How have you lads on the mainland been coping with the weather so far this year?
In Northern Ireland its been a right pain since January, virtually every day has been strong winds and/or rain. This week has been unworkable for the most part with wind, it died down about an hour ago so headed out to try and get a few houses done and as I was setting up at the first, the lady came out and told me to not bother as it gives a terrible evening. Just sitting at the shop and its lashing it down now ::)roll

I hope this isn't going to become a regular occurrence with our weather or il be looking for a new way of making money  :'(

Best winter in my 5 years cleaning, by a long way. Have only had 2 or 3 frosts and no sub zero temperatures during the daytime. This time last year we were under 3 feet of snow, today I had my tshirt on and was lovely and warm.

It has been a bit wetter than usual but being mainly commercial it hasn't slowed me down much. Yesterday was the first day of Spring too, the best season to be in this game! :)

Best winter in four years.  Ahead on the round.  One frost in the whole winter (so it'll be a bad summer for slugs and snails, but I can live with that)

Glad to hear you's are all getting on well  ;)

As I was rained off this evening I decided to spend my time researching any add on's or other business avenues, from buying and selling a few cars to wheelie bin cleaning and still have come to the conclusion that I'd be better buying a better rain suit and getting on the glass, there's nothing compares to what we do ;D

Have a good weekend folks ;)

Davy.

I do work in the rain but not in some of the weather we have had recently. Lost  quite a bit of time Jan/Feb but caught up now as weather has been great the last few weeks and the days getting longer. Picked up quite a lot of new work plus a lovely new commercial. Don't be fooled into thinking most shiners have had it great because I'm sure most have lost time especially in the south as the flooding has not allowed access.  Worst winter in five years.
I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying.
