Online Payments Question
« on: January 08, 2014, 04:35:10 pm »
New customer reckons she's paid me online.

No record of receipt at my end.

I believe she's made a payment, but I suspect she's paid into someone else's account by mistake.

Has this happened to anyone else and how did you proceed?

Thanks.

Once an online transfer has been made there is no going back it's happened to me before.

Just have to hope it turns up or it's gone I'm afraid  :-\

Just ask her to double check with her bank and they will tell her where its gone, if its her error, I am sure she will pay you again. Most online transactions are normally within 2 hours now. Theres no reason you should loose out if she has made an error :)
Never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience

Ask her to give you a screenshot of the payment being made.
That'll show the account it went into.

Had a couple of custys who swore they paid online but when they double checked despite their online banking saying payment sent it had not .

May well be the same thing but without them double checking that the payment has left their account they wont know just politely ask them to double check . Mike

im finding online payments a pain in the a*** at times!! >:( >:(

some customers drag their heels.the thing is if 30 customers owe you £15 its £450 outstanding.they get a text reminder after 14 days if no payment received.

it annoys me when their in when i clean their windows then pay 2 weeks later online.

i much prefer cash or cheque at the door to to be honest! ::)roll

price higher/work harder!

The only way to stop is a admin fee of 5 quid after 10 days and every month thereafter. Tell them its a instruction from your accountant himself.

I ask custys to make payment within 3 days on day 4-5 they get a text reminder or i email them an invoice requesting payment providing i have contact details , Defo going to sort out a new custy form to take down all details needed before starting clean .

Your waiting to long Dazmond you dont go to shop walk out with your shopping  and say pay you  in 2 weeks when me custys have paid me . Mike

Daz, just look at your repeat offenders over a quarter, half year or year and make them go onto S/O or replace them.

Should NEVER happen. NEVER let anything slide with the bank. I have never lost one single bacs payment and I've received more than a smidge over 500

I had to ditch santander for that exact reason (amongst others). That was 3ish years ago, not surprised to hear that they haven't bucked their ideas up to be honest. Terrible bunch of sods.

Same here. Yes their customer service can be a little lacking sometimes. They are behind Natwest at the moment as NW currently have a mobile app for biz banking. Other than that Santander are fine, and free!
