Upgrading to 2 man system
« on: December 02, 2013, 05:45:15 pm »
Time to upgrade.

Buying 400 -500 ltr tank this week, to replace my 250.

To enable me to go 2 man (currently we wfp tops and trad bottoms), will I need 2 of everything, or run off the one pump and one DI?

We use DI only aswell for your info

I used to use 1 pump 1 controller and a Y splitter... You go through so much water that way though.

2 pumps and 2 controllers is much much better.

How is that possible? If your both working together correctly you should both be finishing at same time. I never noticed a difference going from 2 pumps down to 1.

We clean a lot of larger houses. When one turned there flow off for a few minutes to move to another section of a house the other had water blasting out which was a waste and not very suitable for old leaded windows.

For the sake of £140 or so it's worth having 2 pumps surely?

Yeh agree the other one gets the pressure whilst the other is not plugged in, but as i said before, working together effectively should over come this.

I really never notice the difference. 1 pump is ample to work 2 reels perfectly, its not the money (although i am a tight arse  ;D ) i just dont see the need for 2. But thats just my opinion  ;)

1 pump & 2 tap valves. We just turn off the feed to the pole once one of us finishes, but agree with the larger tank. For the sake of a few quid more, you will ensure you have enough water.
