Off-thread but things I hate are:

1. They go out whilst you are cleaning and don't pay you.
2. They won't answer the door when you finished and you ring / knock.
3. "Not today" or "Can you leave it till _________". See my previous posts on the subject
4. They expect a 10 minute chat after every clean.
5. "I'll BACS payment across now" and 3 weeks later you are still waiting.
6. People with whom you agree monthly terms and 3 months in they change frequency or cancel.
7. The people who owe me £46 for 2 cleans and told me yesterday that they've gone bankrupt when they could have told me a month ago, before the second clean.
8. People who thinks prices should be from 1913  not 2013.
9."You've been on holiday? I must be paying you too much". Oh yes? Just why is that then?!!
10. Couple in their 80s bless 'em, "Here, have a Christmas drink on us" handing me a single can of Fosters. Gift wrapped! Lol.

the customer that follows you room to room checking you have done each window 

I have one of these really bad and shes not that subtle about it, lol...then she says about one window by the door, says it every time even after i know she watched me doing it ... "have you done this one?"

The answer to her, politely and with a smile, ' Well, what do you think.... ? '

It's not so much what say rather than that look
They all ask if your going away this year and if you yes abroad, you get that look as if you've just shat on the lawn

yes the "we must be paying you too much" has been said to me many times only by customers that are low priced though!(eg £7!).

as if we re not entitled to take a holiday once or twice or 3 times a year!!

just cos we ve got the drive and nous to build a little profitable business for ourselves rather than making another persons already oversized wallet even fatter they take the hump!!

there are a lot of jealous people out there and some people  find they are just about scraping a living together working for other people.

oh and i made the decision not to have kids!!

Yup, your £10 PCM barely buys a round down the pub but it has managed to get me, the wife and 2 kids to Italy for 2 weeks.
Thank you very much for making sure that my family life is complete.
I really don't know what I would do with the whole 1,000p that you pay me each month.
We'd be destitute.
