Hot water Hose
« on: November 28, 2013, 10:09:34 pm »
Just hooked up my nice new hot water system. coupled it together using yellow garden hose to connect to the reel.. I have noticed that joints and hozelock fittings that are watertight when using cold are leakier than a big leaky thing when using Hot..

What hose should I use to replace my piece of garden hose. and should I switch to metal connectors instead of the good old Hozelocks..

hi jim go into your nearest car spares shop and buy some car radiator 1/2 inch hose.mine cost me a fiver.i also bought a 1/2 inch thread brass male hoselock that screws directly onto hot outlet then fitted a gardiners heavy duty QR female hoselock to hose.

works a treat.no leaks.nice tight fitting and the hose can easily handle the heat! ;)
price higher/work harder!
