In the last 12 months sales of Aqua Mix Grout Colorants have increased by 127%.  Clearly the idea of simply cleaning, coloring the grout and possibly replacing the silicone in a bathroom is a lot less expensive and certainly a lot less daunting than retiling the whole lot.  This also applies to splashbacks in kitchens and floors as well.

Offering this service as an add on to your business can be very lucrative and added to this the investment in materiels required is also inexspensive.

So how does it work?

Grout by definition is usually sand and cement and therefore extremely porous and this in turn attracts water and dirt.

Cleaning the grout is easy and quick all you require is:

Hand Held Sprayer Bottle
High Alkaline Cleaner
Phiosphoric Acid Substitute
Wet Vacuum (For Floors only)
Grout & Deck Brush

You simply pre wet the grout, apply high alkaline, agitate, rinse and allow to dry.  You can then etch the grout if required and once dried you simply paint on the new colorant, allow to cure then wipe off any excess.

Lots of companies have tried to replicate Aqua mix Grout Colorants.  Most have failed and even those who have had a degree of success simply don't have the colour range to compete.

All in all a very profitable add on for any business whether it be Carpet Cleaners, Hard Floor Cleaners, Tilers, Pressure Washing Specialists and even Window Cleaners.

What coverage doe's this offer and what kind of price per M2 is a fair charge also what kind of time scale and when it says don't use solvents after doe's that mean custy couldn't spray with there cillit bang etc ?

Also how doe's yours compare to Jamie's Tile Tidy which looks really simple and has mould guarantee ?

Standard coverage for a bottle is 22M2 which is a standard bathroom.  A decent price for such an area is around £2-£300.  Time depends on how adept you are.  I can do a bathroom is less than 4 houurs depending on degree of soiling.  We have guys who can do one in 2 hours.  Lots of factors come into time such as  Skill, Grout Joint Size, Type of Tile, Size of Tile, Degree of Soiling or Contamination, Access etc etc.  When it says don't use solvents afterwards it means solvents.  If you were to put a solvent on grout colorant after application before it were cured you would remove the colorant, after all, it is Epoxy Paint.  How ours compares to Jamies I have no idea but mold guarantee is simple isn't it.  Epoxy Paint is waterproof so no mold from the back of the grouting or tiles but that said if mold were present in an unventilated batheroom for example it would attach to anyones grout colorant but would simply wipe off!!!
