Sunday Phone Calls
« on: October 27, 2013, 02:26:36 pm »
What every fruit-case keeps calling me and shouting down phone saying

'You missed a spot on my window and I got family around on Monday'   Serious it a Sunday and WHY are you calling my mobile!

Anybody else had fruit case calling your number and not giving any details as you should magically know them.

I told one customer last week who said

"I want you to come between 1pm and 2pm on Tuesday'  which I said 'Okay I try send one lads around t clean window but can't promise'  which she tried the 'I am the customer and I get what I want'  to which I said 'I understand you are the customer but you need to understand that we have other customers who we need to work with and which often during 1pm and 2pm is when we are doing Commercial Jobs'.   Which she then called and said 'Don't bother coming back as I got a new window cleaner'  which I know who it is and I pre-warn him and I know he takes no sh*t from customers.

As I work on the basics of my Commercial Jobs will cover most Business Costs and I can then offer reasonable prices for Domestic Home customers.

Of course I only wash your windows in the cold and raining to earn some extra beer money!

I did have one nice old guy say once 'Oh I used to clean windows in my younger days but we never cared about all this Health and Safety'   Nice old guy and he pays on time and normally makes you a wee brew and closes all his windows for you.   I think its more he like the company as his wife died few years ago and he never phones you and I think he knows I am a busy guy.

Customers are just stupid.. they will never understand because they have never been self employed.

I usually find people who are self employed or run there own business and who are customers understand the general concept of things ! .. specially when your late or delayed because somethings happened with your van or your ill.

Yea I do notice that plus any Tradesmen normally understand the concept of running a business.   I have 4 vans including myself but still I have enough work to stay busy but I am looking at getting a 4th lad but takes about 3months to train up to MY standards!

Customer - I have about 80+ Commercial Properties & Domestic about 300 customers who all get Regular.

I have 1 other guy who works with me.

Chris - the above is a quote from your previous posts and is about three weeks old.

You expect the forum to believe that you have - quote -

Gone from you & one man to having a fleet of vehicles and multiple employees - It doesn't add up and I for one, having seen your website do not believe you.

I may be wrong but it is a crock of crap.

Correct I have 1 other guy who is 'employed' by me and paid by me and while 2 other vans are 'Self Employed' guys which is where I was coming from at the time of posting that.

Which also explained in the emails we exchanged I did explain the website was new and is no where near finished!! as I am changing my business as I am wanting to get bigger fish in the sea and need to change my current business model and brand.

Which if you got any other questions just let me know however email me just as I like to keep the forum all running on topic :P
