..... water out of your IBCs? I have just bought one and have a submersible pump, but wonder if there is a better way using the tap outlet as I will have to cut out a big hole.

I'm puzzled.  Surely there is already a lid hole in the top through which to lower the pump?

The pump is the best option, if the outlet of the pump is 1 inch, then purchase the hose and petrol pump style trigger that pure freedom sell, a fab piece of kit

Their is no better way really your pump will fill your tank far quicker . I know a fellow windy who's 100 ltr ibc is 2-3ft of the ground and he fills his 350ltr flat tank from the tap with some 1/2" hose and it takes about 45 mins . Mike

Not big enough to get the pump in.

That is what I have, but it doesn't fit.

I had to slice open the top of the tank to squeeze thepump in, but it's not ideal, tank is out side and keeping it contaminant free is the easiest.

Guy who now works with me has said a torpedo type pump will fit, just trying to locate one now at a sensible price.

Just cut the plastic then heat seal it

I use my booster pump you can buy caps with hose lock fittings connect hoses to pump, that and gravity pump water out at 100 ltrs per min

just cut it, you can cover it or leave it, ive had mine outside for two years and ive never had a problem at all

I done the same as Michael, connect hose to pump and place it on top of ibc, get a marker pen, and draw a semi circle around outlet of the pump to whatever size you disire, get hacksaw and saw where you've marked . The hose is permanently connected to the pump, when producing water I leave pump in a suitable size bucket , hope this helps

My system came with an in line pump 1. Inch hose to the ibc tap / 1 inch hose to van fills 500l in about 10 minutes

There is a better way - wait 'till lidel have their sale on - they do a brilliant suction pump for about £65. Mine sits on top of my IBC with one inch pipe feeding and delivering. Goes like a jet engine - superb.

Submersible pump (from water butts) with 1inch hose. Quick as you like.

Just get a bilge pump. Will fit, does the job and cheap.
