Hi all,
       A couple of days a month I have some help so I run 2 reels from my flojet pump. I just use a hozelock type "Y" splitter which is ok, well better than the type with 4 taps on that was rubbish anyhooo...

      How do you get an even amount of water out of both poles? It seems unless you crank the pup right up one gets more than the other? I may be answering my own problem now, but just wanted any advice/opinions i have 1 reel of microbore & the other is minibore..is this my problem or something else?

It is quite feasible to run two hose reels and poles off of 1 pump - but both hose reels need to be completely evenly matched in length and type.

As long as they are both the 6mm ID version you would be fine. Or of course if you ran the Thermobore Plus (8mm) with the Minibore (8mm) this would also work.

Well thats another issue Don, I would do if these tanks had 2 outlets! why cant they just make them all with 2 outlets it would be easy to stick a blanking cap in one if not needed

Do you need 2 outlets when running 2 pumps ? .. I'm curious as probably be in the same position somewhere along the line .. My thinking was splitting off from one outlet to the two pumps ..

you dont need them but it would undoubtably be better than have to split off one outlet then the two pumps wont be fighting drawing from the same source.

we need this someone get on it please.

You dont get any less water flow by splitting the tank outlet to be honest buddy. It only the same as splitting the outlet of the pump to 2 reels, your just splitting it in a different place in theory....
Maybe a problem if you were using 3/4 pumps, but your fine on 2 and you wont have to worry about different diametre hose bore and length
You could stick a tap inbetween tank and both pumps and shut off the inlet to the pump thats not in use if you were worried.

Just put a valve on the reel thats got more water coming out of it and turn it down a bit so it matches the other reel

Would agree here. The issue of running two poles on one pump is that water will always follow the easiest route or in this case it will flow to the lowest pole. Using the same length of hose will help mitigate that.
Remember running two hoses will likely mean you pump going to run flat out drawing maximum current.

Ideally as suggested put your Y split nearer to the tank outlet and fit a second pump that you can use as and when needed. This will stop any issue of poor pressure to one hose or the other.
