I've got the new version and yes it is lighter, but to be honest I don't notice a lot of difference in weight between the new one and it's predecessor, but then I didn't think the older version was anything near as heavy as some people tried to make out (many of whom had never even had one) saying it was like a brick on the end of the pole etc,etc

It definitely feels lighter to me and  I too don't find it is much extra weight.

Yes, it would be lighter without one but I like the controllability.

I recently replaced my Mk2 with the Mk3XL. You can feel a 'massive' weight difference if you hold one in each hand. Put it on the pole and I didn't notice any difference.

I think the Aqudaptor is a fantastic conceptual product. But I do feel it needs more development. Only when it is produced out of the same material as the pole will it receive the recognition it deserves. Because its made of a metal it will put strain on its joint to the pole and apply pressure when having the weight of a brush and fitting on its end.
Now most wil slate me for speaking out my thoughts but this is the chalenge to the designer of Aqadaptor to bring this product to work with the poles it needs to work with and as the poles are of a high advanced developed the onus lies with its designer to make the changes to fit with our poles.
Most would say brushes  fitting and aqudaptor does not add weight  to a pole but because they are on the end, do add multiples is strain on the pole and workers body.Do a small experiment by adding 100 grams to the end of a pole and try working and then add 100 gram to the bottom of the pole. The aqadaptor does not weigh 199 gram but it dose add weight and when its on the end of a pole its adds multiples on us and pole connection.
I do not know what weight will be but will do some research to find out what it would be at say 30 foot.
Maybe someone with a better mathematical knowhow can help.

Hi  smithie
No dought you feel a little difference in weight if you hold pole horizontal.
But as its mostly vertical and resting against the glass the weight is very minimal indeed.
Steve.

Steve 1 , As I said focus on the good of your product there are many. but its not perfect. Even Gardeners poles are not perfect. Its what you do with this information that separates one product that makes the difference.

Why don't they redesign the aquadapter to screw into the bottom of the pole, rather than the top!   ;D ;D ;D
