New Xtreme Mixed Brush
« on: July 02, 2013, 06:11:36 am »
First day with it yesterday highly impressed feels so much lighter the bristles dont clog as easily with cobwebs after a few houses .

The new plastic which has been used defo makes a difference and the buffers at the end of the brush are good the clean straight edge is spot on for that stubborn bird muck .

Now the bristles feel different for some reason the are well spaced and set at just the right angle for good  splay on the glass ,

This brush sits well and truly between the soft and standard which for me is perfect very little pressure for scrubbing is needed and the bristles almost mold are round the window frame like the soft brush does which means very easy cleaning of the edge of the window frames thus avoiding bashing brush end on window reveals as much .

And makes cleaning sills and doors  just as easy as well , Defo the everyday brush for me just the right balance . Mike

Does it actually scrub well? Am currently using the sl flocked which so far I have found the only Gardiner's brush that actually scrubs the glass reasonably well IMO.

Thanks for the heads up, I didn't realise they had new brushes until you posted. How does the weight compare with the old one? Do the brushes loose many bristles?

Looks like I'm gonna be ordering some soon.

Simon.

I used one today. Not massively different to the old one, bit lighter and the centre rows look longer than before. Felt good but that might be just because it was new. My old ones have splayed so much that they feel much different.

Arrived today, found the edges of it to be quite sharp.
Don't remember the old brush being like that.
Gonna run a fine file around it 1st to smooth it down a little.

In case it scratches cills or frames.
But at least ii can have fans fitted which i normally use and also pencils fitted next to them.
Just a matter of swopping the tube over. Nice touch,a simple idea but a very handy one. All brushes should be made like that.

I trim my brushes now in the shape of my phone number. That way everyone sat in their office chairs know who I am.
