Gardiners Liquid Logic S2 - review.
« on: February 02, 2013, 06:48:22 pm »
Recently purchased a Gardiners Liquid Logic S2 system controller, so thought I'd share my experiences with you.

http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/liquid-logic-s2-static-ro-system-booster-pump-digital-controller.html

So, what is it?

It is an electronic controller which automates you water production for a static system.

Why do I need it?

I am regularly away from base, during the day or evening, so once the lads have emptied the IBC's, either in the morning or evening, I'd be left having to remember whether water was needed, or to turn system off.

What does it do then?

It basically allows you to leave your system to fill up without you turning water on, pump on, and waiting til you have enough, them turning it all off. It has a solenoid which opens the water flow and a float valve to turn it off when it reaches the level you predetermine.

It will run a 240v mains operated pump, and switch it on and off in line with the solenoid and float valve.

There are 2 TDS monitors to measure water quality after RO and DI, and if it rises, you get a warning message so you can change filter or resin.

Any drawbacks?

Well, you still need to flush your RO, but other than at...not that I've found in the month of running.

In summary

Been using it a month, and had a few questions for Alex, and his response, as usual, has been nothing other than superb.

The system has helped me out massively, simplifying why I do and how I do it, leaving me time to do other things, and as they say, time is money.

I would recommend this system to anyone looking to simplify what they do, and have one less thing to worry about.

Another great innovation from the Gardiners fold, making our lives easier, again.

Thanks Alex and Ian Sheppard for another grey product.

The wasting of evenings, forgetting if I'd switched it off at 3am and having to get u to check, not turning system on at all because I wasn't about, so lads had no water ready, all reasons I invested in this bit of kit.

Gives me one less thing to worry about, which can only be a good thing.

when I get my next unit this is defo something I would buy (or simlar auto flush and fill).

The only downside I could see is flushing, I flush before every fill and disconnect from Di's first.

What did this cost you Simon ?

Was whatever the retail was.

I normally disconnect DI vessels also, but for the sake of 30 seconds of resin being used at a higher TDS, it outweighs the benefits massively.

Th flushing is something I believe is being developed, now I just try and do it every couple of days.

Really recommend it.

Just wanted to update you on this system.

What a fantastic piece of kit!

Had no issues whatsoever, just plugged in and left for the last 5 months!

Really comes into its own when you are not able to monitor water production throughout the day. Saves so much time and stress, absolute must for me, as I don't want to have to concentrate on producing water, just moving the business forward.
