Aworka 4 wkly to monthly
« on: June 15, 2013, 08:30:50 am »
Hi all,
Currently use Aworka and run a 4 or 8 weekly cycle.
The tail now wags the dog so to speak with so much work and no time off, so looking to change to monthly and bi-monthly.
Before I speak to Chris at Aworka has anyone changed the round frequency on this programme with the push of a button or will I have to change each custard individually?

Hi Tony,

Go to Jobs tab, select help, select "how do I edit multiple jobs in one go".

Hope this helps

John

Only issue is that I cannot see how you can select jobs by frequency, probably something Chris could/ should add.

Why would you want to change from 4 / 8 weekly to monthly ??

Hey John the frequency is there it offers 1 clean monthly

Gavinb, after 12 years and a well paying round, time off is getting to be as/more important. I know i will lose 4 weeks turnover but if I implement a £1 increase to each custard, I will have gained 4 weeks off for the same yearly turnover

I know you can change it, what I meant is you don't appear to be able to sort the initial list by current frequency, I trust that makes sense.

John is right... you can edit multiple jobs in one go, but there is no quick way to select the jobs with a particular frequency. I need to look at more sophisticated ways of filtering the job list, not just for frequency, but really any field, e.g. jobs above/below a certain price, all one off jobs, all jobs only done on a Monday, etc.

In the meantime Tony, if you want me to change your 4 weekly jobs to monthly and your 8 weeklys to 2 monthly, I'm happy to do that for you.

You could also consider moving to 5 and 10 weekly, if you want to keep your jobs to stay organised into their specific days/weeks.

Another option would be to stick with 4/8 weekly, but rearrange your work so that there are a couple of days spare.

Finally worth mentioning, if you want to take a holiday, it's possible to shift all your work forwards in one go.

Thanks Chris,
I am undecided just at the mo but will come back to you.
