Why do you go on CIU?

Why do you log in here?

Hi All,
Just wondered why we go on CIU?
The poll I have started is probably pretty useless, but hey ho :-\

Over the years I have been on here I have learned a lot about window cleaning, especially WFP.
It's alst been a laugh at times  ;D
There are some posts that I think are silly. But, that's my opinion. I do prefer to just read through various posts....like reading a daily window cleaners magazine.
Thanks
David

I see this forum like a pub. There are a few rooms, like window cleaning, carpet cleaning, and take the P room (chat) where the banter is great.

I've learned some good tips on here, even though I've been going for years. There are some guys on here that really know what they're on about. We also have some loonies too. Knuckle dragging mongs who fight other windies about who works where etc. Most are good to read, some just give you headaches.

I always try to avoid cross dressing Japs who are closet Buddhist monks. There's at least one of them on here. Also, the odd Man Utd fan with no hair, nasty unpolished plywood teeth and a rare foot disease, but otherwise, a good forum. YNWA  ;D

I sometimes ask myself the same question.

I sometimes think I log in here because I'm a sad person to be posting on a forum for quite a good few years and lacking something else in my life. Dunno? Originally this forum was all about trad stuff when wfp was in it's infancy and just really seen as a bit of a fad and it was novel to actually be able to share information.

It's strange how even though so many who post and replies to postings by others, don't even know what that person looks like or knows anything about their life, knows them on this forum almost as if they were a type of friend.

Apart from those that just want to know how to make money from others knowledge, I think that maybe we log in here and read and reply because it's a basic natural instinct of birds of a feather flock together albeit on a pc but maybe I'm wrong.

One problem on this forum almost from day one has been Tosh. How his poor suffering wife (Wor Lass) puts up with him, god only knows except I shouldn't mention god and Tosh in the same sentence other wise we'll get pages of Boooodhist reasoning as to why something or the other is or isn't and loads more other stuff.   ;D

As for Crispy Bacon, he don't even live in this country and should be banned for leaving a sinking ship long, long before it sunk.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

other than the tips and replying to other posts... when youve finished a tough job (usually under-priced, like today) and you read a few posts the comments made by some are just so funny that cheer you right back up again.

and then you can start again next day with someones witty reply in your mind when your fed up or wanna go home early but also need to keep going to pay the ruddy bills.
