Are Submersible pumps Quiet

Looking for a quiter transfer pump my current pond pump makes quite a noise and sometimes I have to fill up on a morning and dont want to be disturbing neighbours .

Current pump blares out 75db I cover it in damp cloths to muffle sound but dtill not much quiter. Mike

Don't know db rating on my pure freedom transfer pump but it certainly won't wake the neighbours

We live in a terraced cottage and my transfer pump is about 5metres away from their bedroom window so need it to be almost silent if possible .

 Try Clarke Hippo submersible pump, very quiet, fitted loads.

They are a lot quieter, just a light hum, normally faster as well but I wouldn't want one in my bedroom.

I had a Clarke hippo over 20 yrs ago ,used for empting water out of a garage pit  and it was as quiet as a church mouse. I ran it everyday for 3 yrs
