Any one have an X-Line Trolley?
« on: April 07, 2013, 10:30:34 am »
Anyone have one of these?

I need to know the weight of trolley with battery (no water), how easy it is to lift in and out of van and wether it gets many air locks when in use.

We currently use back packs on trolleys but are getting fed up with how un-reliable they are when in constant use, we have tried almost all makes of back backs but find they fail after about 6 months. The only back packs we found that lasted were the Matabi ones, we had two which lasted around 7 years, but can't get them no more.

We have tried a Freedom trolley (one of the first ones) but found it quite heavy constantly lifting in and out and suffered with lots of air locks, which is why we went to back packs.

Before anyone says go for van-mount we have decided against this option, firstly because we also use van for pressure washing and the equipment we use fills the entire transit van, so having a built in tank for pure water not an option, secondly we have tried hosing from van and find it difficult for many jobs and for safety reasons I do not like hose running across public pavements, too many old people in our area who seem to be able to trip on fresh air.

If we can't find a suitable ready made trolley we will try and look at getting one made.

yes i have a x-line troleey had it about 3/4years now i think and no problem what so ever with it,still using the same battery.,to stop air lock you need to put a non-return valve/filter on the end,job sorted,it helps

weight wise i say it a bit heavier than a p/f one,but cant be true about that as not weight them, just going by feel.

To stop air locks, you just don't let the barrel empty so the pump is sucking air.

Yes, I've got one; it's very similar to the PF one.
I've had no problems but don't use it all the time. What 8 weekly said will help with air locks.
I'm not sure about the weight but give them a ring, I'm sure they'd tell you.
I found them to be helpful.

Hi Steve i will arrange for the weight to be emailed to you in the morning, the battery plays a big part in the weight, we are offering differant battery options now.

Thanks James, look forward to hearing from you.

If trolley weight good I will order one and also need a 25ft Full Carbon Pole, was going to order the Facelift one, but if I can get a trolley & pole from one place I would prefer it.

Thanks,

Steve
