how long for bacs to clear

Hi all was told custie transfered payment to my account on good friday but nothing yet; i realise bank hols etc but what's the longest it should take.

Custie is turning into a messer :-[

they clear straight away and should show up 2 mins after payment.

ive had custies text me saying they ve just paid online.ive then checked straight away and the money is in my account.great!saves messing about with cheques!! ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!

Upto 5 days for bacs payments. Dont worry about it yet mate.

If it the first time they have paid via bacs it can take 3-5 days like Mick says. If they have paid that way before it is usually immediate. The bank advise that it's 3-5 days though, so I'd wait till Monday at least before chasing it up.

When you pay someone by bacs it says pay now or you can put in a date when to pay.if you pay now it takes about 2 mins

I dont have any domestics pay by BACs, but most commercials email me a remittance a few days befor, stating what date they will pay, it always turns up on that day ;-)
