I was even impressed with there fibre glass pole.I thought it was a hydride its was that good. I would not consider a fibre glass but for a starter it was quite a good pole, weight wise.

Good video xline. Any problems with clamps on these as I am getting fed up with them coming unglued on my CLX. I Lost a day's work last week. The staff are very helpful, but I find the pretence that it is a very rare occurrence for the clamps to go irritating as everyone I know with a Gardiners pole has the same problem.

What is delivery like on a carbon 25 foot?

we have been testing the whole product range now within our cleaning company for 18 months, found there is even pole wear across the tubes and still plenty of room for adjustment on the clamps,

the advantages of the clamps

When the clamps are adjusted they stay that way, they dont need constantly tweeking

The clamps should out live the tubes due to the large gap in the centre of the clamp.

NO clue on the clamps what so ever, so easily secured back to the tube with an allen key if the clamp needs replacing or pops off

Very easy to use, even with gloves

postage costs are £8 but we are looking at offering free delivery, just trying to strike a better deal with the couriers

you will be able to add sections to the pole, although you must purchase the pole withouth the ali base caps glued to the bottom section, or you would have to cut the base cap off first.

To apply glue and clean it up takes 15 minutes. Engage properly your brain and add time to buy glue, travel from job to home (might be 10 minutes, but in my case an hour each way) and the time it takes to set properly (at least an hour, but to set properly more like 4+ hours or better overnight) and you can see why it cost a day or best part.

It doesn't alter the fact that there s either a design fault or a quality issue with the process or the components. Perhaps the SLX2 will address this issue?

You've  had clamps come off on you before and you don't
Take some sand paper and and glue out with you  ??? ??? :o
Not even a spare pole ??? Some tape for the clamp to get
You though the day ???  No you just go home and loose a days
Money I don't think so! no one is that dumb.
So which pole company do you work for?
Shall we take a guess...

If it took 15 minutes to set, did you suspend time during which you drove to B&q, found and bought glue, took pole apart, cleaned it up, stuck it, reassembled then drove back?

Which glue did you use? The Araldite I bought said a few minutes on the front, but it actually took well over an hour before it felt set properly.

But as I said, all irrelevant as they shouldn't be coming apart at all so commonly.

colins right about being prepared though, i've only needed to glue a clamp back once, but thats why i have glue in my van toolbox along with other little things that i rarely or never needed YET but i might. also i'm self employed so i dont need to stress about missing 30 mins to drive to a b&q  or timing myself doing it

I find a roll of electrical tape serves well for most emergency repairs. repair takes 30 seconds then glue later when more convenient.
it really is a necessity in the van I have fixed leaks fixed poles repaired clothing patched up power steering return pipe reattached broken windscreen wipers and tied things up when nothing else was available it is a very versatile temporary repair solution I wouldn't go out without

Your missing the point having to glue clamps or adjust clamps constantly is a real pain
The elite clamps are just far easier to work with.
And what company do you work for Colin????  Or are we not aloud to voice an opinion that isn't 100% happy with the gardiners clamps??
