Last time i used my local embroiderer and supplied own clothing as most of their stuff tends to be poor quality. I went over to having stuff screenprinted anyway now and much prefer it as we have an intricate logo that embroidery cant achieve.

when you register with a company to get logos printed,  some usually take a charge of £20 - £25,  this is a one off payment,   then you can have anything printed on your clothes,    t shirts   sweat shirts ,   buy cheap from   tj hughs , , primark,   a sweatshirt is around £6 - £10   then just take item and tell them what you want   and where.  usually £4+  for logo + phone number + name  second hand shops sell a lot of gear cheaper to get logos on.  look online for local motif / logo / embroidery firms.
