White rings in marble from a kettle
« on: March 11, 2013, 12:46:48 pm »
Hi Kevin sent you some pictures of a white ring left in marble by the base of a hot kettle. Is it possible to mark the marble with heat or is it more likely to be a composite material
Thanks

Graeme

I am 96% sure the marble is Breccia Marble.  The rings are acid etching and strangly the marble looks unpolished.  I will try and get Tony to upload the photos tomorrow for the Members to look at.  Your hand diamonds and Aqua Mix renue should sort it like we showed you on the course or you could use the Mini Supershines on your machine from stonegate.

Do products like renue have a shelf life?

Yes effectively two years but we have used it on courses when it is older and it still works!  Soon we will be launching a Tailor Made Kit to deal with problems like this!

Hi Kevin,

Strange question this but the family grave is white marble from Italy about 100 years old. What can I clean it with? Some green and black etching on it.

Thanks
