Hi, I have just bought some new resin for my RO machine, and immediately it's producing water at 5ppm!
Has anyone else bought faulty resin before, is it a common thing?

Could be theRO membrane , how old is it , mine used to put out pure 000 with no resin needed , now its up to 014 , the membrane has gone for sure , but hey i can live with 014 and just let van di do its thing

Hi P@F, yeah the membranes are due to be replaced (25ppm) and I've got new ones ready to fit, but even so, the brand new resin should bring it down to 0ppm at least for a while?

I would've thought so too.  Replace the membranes and see what happens?

it's called Tulsion MB-115, I got it from Pure Freedom.
I was expecting a proper manafacturers bag, like in the pic on the website, but they actually sent me the 5 litres in a poly bag tied up at the top, dunno if thats anything to do with it?

That is what you get as it is taken from the much bigger manufactured bag it will be the right resin . buying smaller amounts is less cost effective overall but it saves spending about £80 for a bag .

If you are using the 10" di vessel after ro you are only using a very small amount of resin . Mike

Try shaking the DI vessel. Make sure it is tightly fitted.
